Timperley Villa U9 Jaguars vs Altrincham FC Juniors U9 Griffin
A tough day at the office for the boys, not just the result but the weather was shocking as well. They fought through the rain and kept their spirits high. They played well as a team and are really starting to gel together. Altrincham gave it their all and showed us what they were made of. Well done to all the lads that played in the wet weather and to all the parents on the wet sidelines showing their support.
Boothstown Vipers v Timperley Villa U18 Pumas
In their first game of Youth division 1 a last-minute switch of venues due to waterlogged pitches at Boothstown meant a relatively long away trip for the Pumas to ESSA in Bolton on 3G. As is usual at the moment the Pumas started off slowly gifting Boothstown two goals inside the opening 10 minutes meant it was a going to be an uphill struggle. Boothstown added a third to give themselves a comfortable lead with only quarter of the match gone. Timperley gave themselves some hope with a shot rifled in by Josh which the keeper spilled and Alex B was on hand to poke the ball into the net. After this the Pumas came into the match more equalling Boothstown and there was all to play for in the second half with the first finishing 3-1.
Early in the second half Sam slotted a free kick into the bottom corner to put some pressure on Boothstown however a defensive lapse gave Boothstown a fourth. The game was briefly interrupted by an air ambulance helicopter landing in the carpark to attend to an emergency just up the road. The Timperley lads started to lose their cool towards the end and indiscipline lead to a fifth from Boothstown.
Timperley Villa U10 Jets vs Flixton Juniors U10 Reds
Playing away on a very rainy Saturday morning the Jets put in a great performance at the weekend. The boys created a number of chances to score during the first half and were rewarded with a goal, scored by Flynn which was set up by Murphy. We saw some great midfield running and attacking from Jacob, earning him man of the match, while Jack and Charlie put in a great display in defence, with good tackling and passes out to midfield. Great work. Flixton got back in to the game early on in the second half, but we persevered and with some good team passing and movement Bobby scored two goals with assists coming from Murphy and Jacob. A great team performance in tough conditions. Well done boys.
Timperley Villa U 10 Rapids vs Timperley FC U10 Locomotiv
Timperley Villa U10 Rapids were excellent against Timperley FC on a very rainy Saturday morning at St Hughs. Max opened the scoring with an excellent solo goal which seemed to give the whole team confidence as they played some good football throughout the game. Another great win for the lads and they’ve started to play some nice football as well. Big shout out to Luke who was a rock in defence for the whole game. The lads should all be very proud of themselves for the impressive performance of each and everyone of them.
Timperley Villa FC U12 Wizards vs AFC Urmston Meadowside U12 Athletico
The Wizards held on for massive win against an Urmston team that have been placed 3 divisions above us. There was loads of action, they hit the woodwork a number of times, a missed penalty, some heroic goalkeeping and defending and a last second goalmouth scramble to secure the win. All of the boys should be really proud
Timperley Villa FC U9 Wolves vs Flixton Junior U9 Lionz
Back to winning ways for the Wolves who dominated Flixton from the off. Great hat-trick from Frank, but it was a really impressive team performance with composed defending, creativity in midfield and skill / pace on both flanks. Player of the match was Jamie who made a few vital saves when called upon.
Timperley Villa FC U9 Leopards vs West Didsbury & Cholton AFC U9 Lemurs
Not the result we was after but none the less another great outing by the Leopards in difficult conditions. Very proud of the team today. Bring on next week. #leopardsfamily
