Timperley Villa match updates 24th & 25th October

Timperley Villa Leopards vs Timperley FC Rangers.

A fantastic performance from the Leopards, who fully deserved the score. Without a doubt the best team performance this season. The passing, movement and communication in wet conditions was clear to see and made the difference today. 2 fantastic strikes from M.O.M George ensured the Leopards came out with the Win. We look forward to keeping the momentum going next week.

Brooklands Dragons U9’s Wildfire vs Timperley Villa U9’s Jaguars

Finally after a hard few weeks we get our first win. 😁

The boys were amazing today, every single one could have been man of the match and so proud. The first half was very balanced and a good battle from both side. Second half, again a good scrap and nothing to separate the teams. It wasn’t until mid way through we got the first goal. Well deserved and the lads could finally taste their first win. The opposition gave a good flurry at the end but on the day we were just too strong. I’m sure you can tell, well happy. 😃

Timperley Villa U10 Jets v Egerton Tatton U10s

The Jets put in a great performance on Saturday against Egerton. Down to just seven players the boys never gave up and worked so hard for each other. Even with a few injuries and knocks during the game, those boys quickly returned to carry on. We really could have had 7 man of the match awards. The boys played some great football and were unlucky to narrowly lose after hitting the bar, post and had several chances that just went wide or were saved.  Great goals from Joe and Will, with the assists coming from Jack. Flynn was a rock in defence and was our man of the match. A great team performance, well done.

Altrincham FC juniors U16 Pumas vs Timperley Villa U16 Tornadoes

After the first win in almost 3 years on the first day of the season, Timperley Villa Tornadoes have continued to make great progress. Despite putting in some great performances in which they could have easily won several games the team couldn’t build on that early success. Working hard in training to address a couple of simple but key issues and players accepting adopting different roles to support the team the improvements were clear to see in Sundays game against Altrincham FC Juniors U16 Pumas. The Tornadoes took an early lead in the first minute of the game, with both teams playing some great football and both coming close to scoring on several occasions the first half was very closely fought and ended with no further score. The second half was also tightly fought with chances going to both sides before the Tornadoes playing their best football of the season so far went on to score 3 more goals to win the game 4-0. A great game played in a great spirit by both teams and the final score not doing justice to the Altrincham teams performance. Well played both teams.

Timperley Villa U10 Rapids vs Urmston Town U10 Pheonix

Timperley Villa U10 Rapids were away to Urmston Town on Saturday. The boys played some great football, very unselfish at times which was fantastic to see. They all performed together as a team and thoroughly deserved to come away with the victory. It’s great to see the lads winning games and more importantly enjoying their football.
