Timperley Villa Match update 26th/ 27th September

Updated: Sep 29, 2020

Timperley Villa U10 Jets v Wythenshawe Town U10

The Jets played away in Baguley on Saturday morning. The boys played really well, with some good passing on show, they created a number of chances and showed some great team work, particularly at times when we were under pressure in our box. Jacob and Flynn played well together in defence, picking up runs and tackling. Jack and Charlie were full of energy driving forward towards goal during the game. Jack scored a good goal following up on a long throw in from Toby, while Joe also scored and put in a really good performance in midfield earning him the man of the match award. Well done boys.

Timperley Villa FC U12 Wizards vs Sale United U12 Hawks

Another impressive win for the Wizards who beat Sale Utd at Beechfields on Sunday. James Ben Lucas and Joe in on the goals  but everybody played really well making sure we didn’t concede. All done lads.

Timperley Villa U9 Leopards vs West Didsbury & Chorlton AFC U9 Orcas

Superb game. End to end very evenly matched. Half time 3-3. Man Of the Match went to Liam for his superb recovery tackles and his work rate. Great game by both clubs. It was neck and neck until the final 5 minutes. Great experience today. #leopardsfamily

Timperley Villa U9 Jaguars vs Hale United FC U9 Falcons

This week we saw a real improvement in the way the Jaguars played together as a team. They are really starting to find their feet and gel together as one team. They played a fantastic game with each player trying a variety of positions. Some great goals scored from some of our players. Hale United really gave us a run for our money and were fantastic opponents. Each player really gave it their all and tried their very hardest to play their best. Well done lads lets keep it up.

Timperley Villa U17 Hornets v Wilmslow Sports Community FC U17 Pumas

Well that one as a little tense and certainly very niggly. The ref had a tough time from their players and never really had any level of control... so, was most impressed with the teams mindset to hold their own 👊, not get drawn into any shenanigans and continue playing despite lots of ‘borderline’ tackles and provocation. Big credit to them all in terms of attitude.

First half performance was much better half to manage and watch with a superb display from Jake between the posts.

A deserved, but narrower than it should have been!, 4-3 win. That’s all 4 development games won. We have now been put in the Youth Championship league.

🏆 ⭐️ Ryan

Few contenders for Player of the Week this week, but think Ryan, for his command of the defence and use do the ball, just pipped Jake and Mal!

Timperley Villa U10 Rapids vs Broadheath Central FC U10 Spartek

Timperley Villa U10 Rapids played away against Broadheath this Saturday. The rapids were excellent in the first half, playing some lovely football and could have easily gone into the half time break leading by a lot more than they already were. Second half the lads struggled slightly to create chances but were too strong defensively and all worked very hard to ensure their victory. An excellent performance from everyone in the team, especially from Fadi with it being his first game.
