Timperley Villa Match update 10th & 11th October

Timperley Villa U9 Jaguars vs Wilmslow Town U9 Lion's

Great game for the team. The first half saw the Jaguars finding their feet and playing some good defence. They came back in the second half fighting and playing together as a competitive team. This has given them a massive confidence boost for next weeks game! Great game..!!

Overall a good day for boys and can’t wait for the next one.

Timperley Villa U10 Rapids vs Urmston Meadowside U10 Eagles

Timperley Villa U10 Rapids continued their mini winning streak with a good performance away to Urmston Meadowside. The lads played some nice football going forwards and Sam scored the goal of the game with a lovely volley after a great delivery from a corner by Ethan. Another good performance from each of the lads and it’s great to see them enjoying their football.

Timperley Villa U13 Minotaurs vs Edgerton Football Club U13 Tatton

Another dogged and determined performance by the Minotaurs saw them maintain their 100% record this season with 5 wins from 5. The Minotaurs were slow starters as has been the case in a few games this season and were penned in to our own half by Egerton for the first 15 minutes. The Minotaurs eventually got a foothold in the game and began to show what they can do. After a good passage of play, Lucas was played through on goal and made no mistake, finishing from a very tight angle. 1-0 Minotaurs. Not long after, Egerton were level after some sloppy play in defence gifted Egerton a goal. 1-1. The Minotaurs reacted superbly to conceding and began to move up the gears in the last 10 minutes of the half. After some determined pressing by Ed and Charlie, the ball fell to Louis L who scored for the 2nd week running! 2-1 Minotaurs. After half time the Minotaurs came out determined to ensure their 100% record stayed intact. Jayden played a brilliant ball splitting the Egerton defence, finding Jack who was able to squeeze his shot past the keeper in at the near post. 3-1 Minotaurs. It could have been a bigger scoreline but the ball just wouldn’t hit the back of the net for the Minotaurs. Some determined Egerton defending saw shots from Jack, Louis L and Fin all blocked in quick succession. Some great defending in the 2nd half from Leo, Louis M and Ollie G ensured the Minotaurs ran out 3-1 winners. Special mentions go to Ollie S who put in a battling performance after only his 2nd game back from a broken wrist and Huw in goal who is becoming more and more composed every game. MOTM went to Dan for his tough tackling and never say die attitude helping to keep Egerton at bay! Well done lads!

Timperley Villa U12 Wizards vs Wythenshawe Amateurs (Junior) U12 Lions

The u12 Wizards played really well against a bigger and stronger Wythenshawe team - some great performances, special mention to James who was Player of the Match and Thomas who got our goals, but all the boys can be proud of a great effort right to the end.

Timperley Villa U9 Leopards vs Mersey Valley U9 Panthers

Timperley Villa Leopards v Mersey Valley Panthers. Leopards were wearing their change of kit today. Absolutely superb game right from the get go. Very competitive and end to end.
