Timperley Villa Pumas U17's vs Benchill Celtic U18's
Timperley Villa Pumas U17 hosted Benchill Celtic U18 today in an attempt to keep their unbeaten run for the season going. A number of injuries and unavailable players threatened to leave the Pumas short-handed however the lads rallied round and managed to field three substitutes for at least the first half. The match started well for the Pumas with Luke bagging his first goal of the season early on, however Benchill came back into the match with the ball somehow ending up in the back of the Timperley net direct from a corner. The lead was regained shortly after with Tom getting a goal on his debut and Josh extended the lead before he had to dash off to the Manchester United match. With the halftime lead at 3-1 the Pumas was cruising however some lazy defending saw Benchill come back into the game in the second half with the score at 4-3. As Benchill’s legs began to tire the score began to look more comfortable for the Pumas with both Alex and Tom getting their brace to leave the fulltime score at 6-3.
Timperley Villa U9 Jets vs Altrincham FC Juniors U9 Gladiators
The u9 Jets played at home this weekend hosting Altrincham FC Gladiators. The two teams were really evenly matched. This led to a close, but really entertaining game of football, with a few twists and turns over the 60 minutes. The boys played so well as a team this weekend, encouraging and supporting each other, which was fantastic to see.
We managed to get a good team shot this weekend as we had a full squad.
Timperley Villa FC U10 Wasps vs Irlam Steel U10 Bulldogs
The U10 Wasps met new league team Irlam Steel U10 Bulldogs, for the first time in the Autumn Cup.
Irlam have switched from the Warrington league and proved to be stiff competition for the first half.
The second half saw the Wasps move up a gear. Goals from Ollie, Raf and Thomas saw the Wasps win the tie, with a game in the next round against a Unicorn being their reward.
Timperley Villa U14 Vixens Vs Cheadle & Gatley Junior U14 Valkyries
Loss for the Vixens today against Cheadle and Gatley U14s but they were happy sporting their new kits.
