Another weekend devastated by the weather, Saturday wasn’t too bad with 9 of the scheduled games going ahead however Sunday was a different matter with only 2 of the 9 games taking place.

The u11 wizards played Timperley FC Sparta we had a couple of players missing but kept trying right to the end they played a good game. Well done lads!
Brooklands Dragons JFC U9's Inferno Vs Timperley Villa U9 Jets
Timperley Villa U9 Jets played away at Brooklands Dragons on Saturday. It was a really competitive game with both teams well matched. There were some excellent and brave goalkeeping displays, solid defending and some great attacks from the boys. It was a tight game.
Sale Communities Vs Timperley Villa Minotaurs U12's
Our 3 - 1 loss to Sale Communities doesn't tell the full story.
We dominated for large parts of the game but a combination of scuffed shots, good saves and missed chances meant it wasn't our day.
1 - 0 down at half time, our equalising goal came early in the 2nd half after another fantastic corner from Ed and a brave Louis header.
At 1 - 1 the game was there to be won but we just couldn't get that 2nd goal.
To be fair the Sale keeper was good and made some brave saves.
The closest we came was when Louis had a shot that hit the post.
As we were pushing hard for the winner Sale on a breakaway move got their 2nd despite a pretty blatant hand ball and soon after got a 3rd goal as the defence went walkabout.
Both Steve and I were really impressed with both Dan and Leo who shared the man of the match award for their commitment and effort during the game.
