U8s – JJB Football Festival
Dates: 11th October, 8th, 22nd November & 6th December 2008
Times:
Group 1 – arrive by 9am; games run from 9.30am – 10.30am
Group 2 - arrive by 10am; games run from 10.30am – 11.30am
Note: Steve Lewis/Mike Bower will allocate players to Group 1 & Group 2 in
advance of the first weekend

What to bring:
Shin-pads – COMPULSORY
TV kit (or plain black socks & shorts; spare TV shirts available on the day)
Trainers or boots with rubber/moulded studs; blades of any sort and metal studs
are NOT allowed
Drink (water/fruit-juice; NOT fizzy)
CODE OF CONDUCT
All spectators must remain behind the corridor ‘wall’.
Help encourage and support all children, praise fair play and good behaviour.
Do not shout instructions to players – Too much information confuses the player
and spoils the enjoyment of participation.
Accept all decision made by Referees. Any abuse of Referees will not be
tolerated and will result in individuals or teams being immediately expelled.
Do not pressure players. Effort and performance are important, not the result!
Display patience – Children are not mini-adults. Do not expect too much either
physically or mentally. Fun and enjoyment are paramount to the child’s
development.
Note: parents/guardians are responsible for their own children. Please ensure
safe supervision at all times while on site at the Soccerdome.
