RECYCLE UNWANTED MOBILES
Save the environment AND help your club...
18/12/06 - Timperley Villa FC is running a
campaign to collect unwanted mobile phones. Any type of mobile phone, with or
without the charger, can be donated. Help us to raise funds for our club and at
the same time help the environment.
This is a very worthwhile scheme in that it:-
• Raises funds for Timperley Villa FC
• Helps protect the environment
• Improves communications in developing countries, where the phones are reused
On average each home has 3 unwanted phones, which tend to be disposed of
with the household refuse and find their way to landfill sites. Recycling will
reduce landfill and prevent dangerous substances leaking from the phone into the
ground e.g. lead, arsenic and mercury.
Join our campaign and encourage family, friends, colleagues and employers to
donate any unwanted mobile phones they may have.
How you can help
• Collect as many mobile phones as you can
• Ask family, friends and colleagues if they have any
• Hand the phones in to one of the team managers
Please offer your support – do your bit for the environment! Every phone
that you donate will raise funds for Timperley Villa FC. Many thanks for your
