FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CHAIRMAN SWITCHES DIETHumble Pie Washed Down With a Big Swallowing of Pride...4/8/06 - "It will never work...you will never get the support of the big clubs...if you get a single letter of support I will eat my hat" - These words all belong to our infallible chairman, Steven Edge. These were his comments when he listened to the proposal for the '25 Years and Still Kicking' campaign. There were also mentions of him reaching into his own pocket if this worked. Anyone who knows Steven knows he doesn't 'threaten' to reach into his own pocket very often...so this shows just how pessimistic he was of the campaign's chances. Friends of Timperley Villa, Terry Ratcliffe and Mike Jackson, (who work with Steven) have headed up the '25 Years and Still Kicking' campaign. They have been making good progress in their efforts so far and are confident moving forward that they will achieve their objectives. They have already received written letters of support from the following:
And have been promised letters from the following:
The campaign is now in the 2nd stage which is gaining the financial support of national and local companies through grants, donations and sponsorships. They have made some good headway, with some of the national companies and will soon be engaging some of the local business' in the area. If you think you might be able to help Terry & Mike email them at terry@tbselling.com. If you're reading Steven, I am pretty sure humble pie is low in carbohydrates so you don't have to worry about your atkins diet. For More Information Contact:
