FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CHARTER PROGRESSTimperley Villa see first Charter Success...4/8/06 - TVYFC saw the first benefits from the plan to achieve Charter status in 2007 when the Football Foundation made an award of a £400 equipment grant to the Club. These grants are only available to Clubs already holding or actively working towards Charter status and so in making this award the Football Foundation acknowledged the efforts that are underway within the Club to achieve this goal. The grant will allow each team from U9 upwards to be equipped with new Nike Total 90 ProTeam match balls for the start of the 06/07 season, along with providing for other much needed match-day equipment such as new corner flags and posts. TVYFC would like to thank the Football Foundation and their funders for awarding this grant. The Football Foundation is the UK's largest sports charity and is funded by the FA Premier League, the Football Association, Sports England and the Government. The Foundation is dedicated to revitalising the grass roots of the game, constructing modern football facilities, developing football as a force for social cohesion and as a vehicle for education in the communities.
