Outlook Express Intstructions
Setting up your Timperley Villa FC e-mail
account in Outlook Express
1. Launch Outlook Express, go to Tools, and down to
Accounts. Go to the Mail tab.

2. Click on the Add Button, and then click Mail to
start the Internet Connection Wizard.
3. The first item to put in is your name. This is
the name that Outlook Express is going to send your email as. For
example Mike Smith (TVYFC).

Then Click Next.
4. The next page is for your email address.
This is your account name (as provided by the
Club) @timperleyvillafc.co.uk.
Depending upon length this will either be
first.surname@timperleyvillafc.co.uk
or
f.surname@timperleyvillafc.co.uk
Just type it in there, check to make sure it is
correct, and click Next.

5. This next page is for the Server information.
Fill in the spaces as follows:
My incoming server is a POP3
server
Incoming mail server
mail.timperleyvillafc.co.uk
Outgoing mail (STMP) server
mail.timperleyvillafc.co.uk

6. The last step is to put in your account name and
password (as provided by the Club). Depending upon length, you account
name will be first.surname or f.surname
(NB: just put in the account name, NOT you e-mail
address, i.e. there is no @timperleyvillafc.co.uk despite the @gmail.com
being shown in the picture example below).
Your password is the 5 digit number.

Tick the box ‘remember password’
Do NOT tick the box ‘Log on using Secure Password
Authentication (SPA)’
Click ‘Next’ and you Account is set up.
7. Go to Tools, and down to Accounts, go to the
Mail tab and highlight your Timperley Villa account. Click on
‘Properties’
Under the ‘General’ tab make sure the box ‘Include
this account when receiving mail and synchronising’ is ticked. Click
‘Apply’
Under the ‘Servers’ tab make sure the box ‘My
server requires authentication’ is ticked. Click ‘Apply’.
You should now be able to send and receive e-mail
using your Timperley Villa FC e-mail address.
