Setting up
your Timperley Villa FC e-mail account in Outlook Express
This guide shows you how to
set up Microsoft Outlook to work with your TVFC e-mail account. This
guide focuses on setting up Microsoft Outlook 2003, but these settings
are similar in other versions of Microsoft Outlook
To Set Up Your E-mail Account
in Microsoft Outlook
1.
In Microsoft Outlook,
select Tools > E-mail Accounts.

On the E-mail Accounts
wizard window, select "Add a new e-mail account" and click Next.

For your server type, select "POP3" and click Next.

On the Internet E-mail Settings (POP3) window, enter your
information as follows:
Your Name
This is the name that Outlook Express is going to
send your email as. For example Mike Smith (TVYFC).
E-mail Address
This is your account name (as
provided by the Club) @timperleyvillafc.co.uk.
Depending upon length this will
either be
first.surname@timperleyvillafc.co.uk
or
f.surname@timperleyvillafc.co.uk
User Name
Depending upon length, you User
name (as given to you by the Club) will be
first.surname or f.surname
(NB: just put in the User name,
NOT your full e-mail address, i.e. there is no @timperleyvillafc.co.uk
despite the @coolexample.com being shown in the example screenshot
below).
Password
Enter the password given to
you by the Club (5 digit number). Tick ‘Remember password’ box
Incoming mail server (POP3)
Your incoming server is
mail.timperleyvillafc.co.uk
Outgoing mail server (SMTP)
Your outgoing mail server is
also mail.timperleyvillafc.co.uk

Click "More Settings."

On the Internet E-mail Settings window, select the "Outgoing
Server" tab.

Select "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication."
7.
Select "Use same settings as my incoming mail server".

8.
Click on General tab, then enter your email address into the 'Reply
email address' box.

9. Click OK
10.
Click Next.

11.
Click Finish.

You should now be able to send and receive e-mail
using your Timperley Villa FC e-mail address.
