Manager Profiles
All our teams from U9 upwards are managed & coached by volunteers who give up significant amounts of their time to develop your children’s enjoyment of football – they deserve absolute respect from you and your children whether you always agree with their decisions or not!
The Club has created a Development Framework as a way to ensure the ongoing support and education of our volunteer coaches. This provides on-going support to those managing teams so that, in addition to the mandatory FA Level 1 coaching badge, they get:-
- Access to structured season long coaching program so that each session can be meaningful & interesting
- Access to a comprehensive range of drills and exercises designed to reinforce new skills with the children
- Support from more experienced coaches to help ensure that all our children are coached to a high standard
- Access to 'professional development' sessions run by Cheshire County FA
- Access to additional subsidisded coaching courses run by Cheshire County FA
- The Clubs absolute commitment to child welfare and “developing for fun”
Our parents play a critical role in developing for fun:- just by getting your children to each session. Unnecessary absences from training sessions disrupt the progression of the whole squad and threaten your child’s participation in the weekend game.
In addition your support for the coach is essential. To coach your children they have attained a good level of knowledge of football and how to ensure children enjoy the game. Whilst watching your favourite professional team gives you certain “armchair pundit” rights, you must understand that these do not translate into youth football.
Please restrain yourselves to encouraging support for our players and refrain from unacceptable behaviour.
