About Us
Developing for Fun
In the 28 years since our Club was formed there have been massive changes in youth football. Child protection is now part of everything we do, the FA has invested in developing an excellent coaching infrastructure and schools are embracing specialist coaches to work with children up to Year 6. Long gone are the days when piles of coats formed posts in training and enthusiastic dads screamed instructions from the sidelines!
We have embraced these changes and driven innovation of our own. Today around 70% of our subscription income is spent on two main items. Use of the fantastic all weather 3G pitch at Blessed Thomas Holford school in Altrincham and hiring professional coaches to develop our younger players pays testament to our commitment to Developing for Fun
Our commitment to Developing for Fun is further shown in our strict 'first come' policy to recruiting players. We have placed limits on the number of teams and squad sizes so we don’t fall into that all too common trap of expanding beyond our resources. Children who join us will get excellent coach attention and playing opportunities.
Our teams use three main bases in Timperley. Our older teams generally play on Beech Fields which we are working with Sport Trafford to develop. St Hugh’s is home for teams playing short sided games (U9 to U11) and our younger players (U7 & U8) use the astroturf facilities at
The Club is proud of its links to local businesses whose sponsorship helps us kit out the teams. Our parents are enthusiastic volunteers (well some anyway!) and help us have a strong social backbone to the Club
