We are “Developing for Fun”

We are a local family football Club, run entirely by volunteers, where boys and girls of all abilities are welcomed. We can accommodate children from U7 (Year 2) and have representative teams competing from U9 to U18’s. In addition our coaching partners SiS provide Saturday morning sessions for Reception and Year 1 children, with the emphasis on delivering a low pressure fun experience.

Developing for Fun underpins everything we do. Youth football must first be fun for the kids, coaches, officials and supporters. This requires that it is played in a safe, supportive and disciplined environment in which everyone is encouraged to develop social, football and teamwork skills.

Developing for Fun includes the social aspects of youth sports. We rely on volunteers for all aspects of the Club’s activities and so encourage our players’ parents to contribute some time to help out – and as a result make new friends from within the Club. Our annual Winter’s Evening event focuses on the adults and is a chance for them to let their hair down.

Development Framework
As an FA Charter Standard Club you can be assured that we adhere to the highest standards in terms of child protection and player development. We operate within a Development Framework, with our professional coaching partners SiS leading the coaching of our U7 and U8s and assisting with our U9 and U10 teams. SiS also provide specific targeted coaching at the older ages, including a 20 week goalkeeper training programme each season. Our teams from U9 upwards are coached by enthusiastic parents (who must attain appropriate FA coaching badges), with SiS assistance at U9 & U10.  The Club is in the process of producing and implementing a structured season long training program to ensure that each team is developed using the very best practice. One of the head coaches from our coaching partners SiS has worked in the Manchester United academy for a number of years and is currently responsible for their U15 side.

Finally, it’s important to us that we offer value for money and access to all. Our subscription includes everything (initial kit, all weather training, and match fees) and its set at the mid range.
